Hello to everyone’s attention harbor a case passatomi hand … an iPhone 6 with backlight not working … the coach before me in an attempt to repair the damage caused by water has removed the backlight ic line but so dug to remove the excess tin to get to the slopes below you can surely sheared in your opinion recover your phone ..? Or do I have to throw it … since I do not have the possibility of finding patterns of the 2nd layer …?
This is a belated answer so hopefully it can be of use to folks who search for and find this question. Yes, that’s a lot of damage and without knowing the second layer traces, it becomes an extremely difficult, if not impossible, repair. The solution to these kinds of problems, when getting a phone working is critical, is to sacrifice a dead board and remove the components and gently scrape down to the second layer so that you can see how things are connected at that level. Here is an example of someone scraping down the the third layer for an LSD repair.
