Chosen Solution

I recently bought a used iPhone 6s, when I enter the serial number to coverage.appple, com, it says “We’re sorry, but this is a serial number for a product that has been replaced.” There was originally iOS 10.3.3 and I was able to update it to iOS 11, I also reset this phone and it activated again normally, I was also able to use my apple id and restored from iCloud backup. I consulted with couple of iPhone tech masters, and they said its not original screen and even the body is not original, I yet don’t understand whats the case with this phone. After my previous iPhone broke, I was able to purchase this one after some time and difficulty, but i think i got scammed :) The phone is already activated, can apple block it to be unusable? what is the future of this device, thanks in advance!

It just means that the original owner sent his phone in for a out-of-warranty replacement (OOW) and the OOW device is the phone you are using right now which is why it says ‘product has been replaced’. Basically you got a apple refurbished phone that came from apple, nothing to worry about.
