Is my Samsung NP-R580 able to recognize dual band wifi 2.4G and 5G? It depends on the wifi adapter? or depend on the driver. How can I make it to beable to detect and connect to 5G that my router emits?
Sorry, But in spite the external dual band USB WiFi dongle works with my smartphone on both bands, my Samsung NP-R580 recognize just the 2.4GHz .
Hi, Check the make and model number of the WLAN adapter in Device Manager and then search online for information regarding the adapter. It may be that it is only suitable for 2.4GHz. operation To get both 2.4GHz and 5GHz to work on your laptop you may have to use an external dual band USB WiFi dongle. ( examples only )
