So I left my iPhone XR in a bag unaware that it was gonna pour, and thinking that it was waterproof and that nothing was gonna happen to it but to my own luck I woke up with it looking very strange. I almost immediately knew it was water damage, I tried to explain to my parents that my phone had water damage and asked if we could get it fixed. But they didn’t believe me when I told them. And then a day later it looked awful (it was what it looked like in the photo and video) and my mom just told me to “put it in rice” although I already know that rice isn’t gonna do anything helpful. So essentially my question is that if a phone looking like that (which got soaked on August 29th) could be given to a place to fix it at earliest September second (but most likely September 3rd) would it be even worth fixing? Could it even be fixed? Thanks.
It all depends where the water went. If you can get someone to remove the logic board and clean it with Isopropyl alcohol or an ultrasonic machine than replace the screen and battery it will most likely function. How long it functions will depend on where the liquid got to.
