Hello all, At first, I just wanted to change my home button, but apparently I managed to make my phone looks like this. http://imgur.com/a/VfnS0 Is there any possibility that I could just fix it without replacing it? I tried detaching and reattaching the 4 cable connectors (digitizer, display, home button, and sensor) and the battery connector as well over and over, but it just didnt work. The grey foam on top of the cable connector is removed completely when I tried to reattach the connector. But its not the real problem, right? I also thought that maybe the problem is in the flex cable of the display cable connector. Is it possible? Thank you in advance
The foam doesn’t really matter if you scraped it off. Doesn’t affect the display from working or not. Try plugging the phone into the computer and see if iTunes detects it successfully? If it does you might want to take it to a repair shop to get to test the phone if it displays properly on another screen. If it does you can either get them to repair it or you buy yourself a front display assembly and replace the screen. You can get the part from here: iPhone 6 LCD and Digitizer Guide to replace the part: iPhone 6 Screen Replacement Edit: I’ve never seen a screen like that before so thats a first.
