Dropped my iphone X in the shower, screen cracked starting from the topleft corner. Took of the display and saw no water inside. My battery was empty and it showed the apple cable logo when I tried powering it on. But after charging it for a while my screen is now black and it flashes random “lines”. Is my display broken or something else? It’s weird it can show the lightning cable fine but when charging it shows a black screen. Don’t want to buy a display and then find out it’s not a display problem.
You like to live dangerously, don’t you ;>). The iPhone X is water resistant, not water proof so there’s always a risk of water damage. Realistically speaking, you have a damaged screen. Unfortunately, the only way to properly troubleshoot your problem is to try a known-good replacement screen. If the replacement screen doesn’t solve your problem, then you wold have a logic board issue.
