Battery i not charging x inside icon profiler says no battery is it dead or something worse.. When I push battery test button one led flickers

Your battery is dead–the question is why. Do you have access to another machine to see if it will take a charge there? Does the computer function properly with the power adapter? If not can you find another to try so we can eliminate the adapter as a cause? If the adapter and battery are good you probably have a bad Magsafe in board. Here is the URL to replace that if needed.
