In some forums there were people who said that Apple had corrected the flexgate problem by lengthening the flex display cable slightly in the 2017 MBP whose manufacturing date was in mid-2018, the same as in the MBP 2018/2019. I don’t know if the issue is true or not, and because I’m curious, I finally opened my 2017 MBP (normal condition), to see how the flex display cable works and just check the cable’s condition … and this is what I found …

the question is, is this the unit with the display cable slightly extended? because I have tried to open the lid to the fullest, but I do not see the cable under stress and do not touch the display board. Update (09/17/2019)

This is the date of manufacture of my unit, which I saw in the battery application

To start with your vid is not very helpful as its not tight enough to see the cable in question.

The proper way would be to look at the screen for the tell-tale signs. Do you see the stage-light effect at the bottom of your screen?
