Chosen Solution
So I use a magnetic mat, for keeping screws and such organized, and not running away from me, during repairs. If I put a part, let’s say, a lcd/digitizer assembly. Would that hurt the part? I’ve done it many times, and had no problems. But, every once in awhile, it seems like it does. Any ideas?
The little bit of magnetism in a mat of your screw drivers poses very little risk. However, I would not place RAM on it because of its finicky ESD propensity.
