i bought a broken new nintendo 3ds XL for 30 bucks. i know it was dumb, but i thought it would be cheaper to fix than buy a new one if i could get it for 30 bucks lol anyways, i took it apart and it seems there is water damage. im not 100% sure but the water sticker is pink like its been wet, and the fuse tested no continuity. i was thinking of just replacing the board because its about 65 bucks on ebay. so it would still be cheaper than buying one brand new. but is it worth replacing the board? or is it strongly possible the rest of the components are fried too? i cant visably see any water damage on anything but it does not power on. when i try to charge it, the orange light comes on, but thats all it does.
@trueninjajosh ,josh, there could always be further damage when it comes to water damage, it will sort of be luck of the draw whether changing out MB will fix all issues, sorry no definite answer here.
