Hi, I found your post and have currently the same project in front of me. But I am a little uncertain about the maximum limit of the memory size. In my MacBook Pro 13” Mid 2012 I have a 500GB HDD. Does anybody know if I can upgrade to SSD with 2TB? Any helpful feedback is highly welcome!

I would have gone with a 30 TB drive my self ;-} Samsung unveils world’s largest SSD with whopping 30TB of storage Here’s the limits of the Mac OS: Mac OS X: Mac OS Extended format (HFS Plus) volume and file limits APFS limits have not been published yet but its way in the ExaByte (EB) space so not likely to hit it.

Sure. I have a 2 TB SSD in my MBP from that year. It should work fine for you. Crucial MX500 2 TB SSD MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2012 Hard Drive Replacement
