I am simply wondering if you can replace just the glass of a Galaxy S8 Plus, or if that is impossible. If it can be done, how does one go about it? I’ve had the phone for a month and the glass shattered.
No. Not possible. The glass is fuzed. Perhaps a professional with all the right equipment could. Even then, the digitizer would probably shatter along with the glass. Check out iFixit’s guides and parts for the phone: Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Repair
Yes you can its not easy but its heat. And go from top down.trouble is its very hard to do but if your willing to pay that high price to get new lcd whats the harm in trying for yourself. There is always a way never impossible. And you cant get an Iphone off activation lock either. Always a way
Yes it is possible. However, the process I’ve seen demonstrated involves a freezing machine that supercools the adhesive bonding the glass to the LCD/Digitizer and allows them to be separated. The freezing machine costs about $5000 so it’s an investment that only makes sense for a refurbisher or established repair shop.
You can always try dry ice to freeze the adhesive, I’ve seen it done with other phones.
The best choose for most people is replace a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus new screen. Only replace the glass is very disscult and need many equipment, they are expensive.
It is actually very possible but more of a process in my eyes but hey you will be saving lots of more money. I found a guy who explained it very well but there is a catch .. he only speaks in German but you should be able to understand it because of how well the video was shot https://youtu.be/RfByZwmtWzE
If we change glass its quality same or change and touch work experience same or different please tell me and where from i buy glass premium quality
Yes, it can be done and is not hard, watch a you tube video and they show you step by step instructions on how to do it. The hardest part is taking the case apart. I personally have a heat gun which I use for shrink wrapping, and this is one technique that works in getting the glue to melt. I had to also replace the charging port on the phone because it was charging on the floor and someone stepped on the cord right next to the phone. I ordered the replacement part and it came with all tools needed to replace the USB port, but thats true also if you break the glass. If you do not feel you can do it take it to one of those booths at your local mall that does cell phone repair. Either have them do the entire job or bu the part and have them open the phone for you. You can also use a blow dryer but I think you should have a company that has a machine that you set the temperature to around 100 degree’s then they use a suction cup then a box opener or plastic knife to break the seal.
