I have a Lenovo IdeaPad flex 14iwl with a severely cracked screen. I have obtained a parts laptop of the same model that has a number of problems with the parts inside the base, but it has a perfectly good screen and lid and I was wondering if it’s possible to replace this on my old laptop in one piece without having to pull out the screen? I am not familiar with this process and wary of breaking things so I’m very reluctant to do that kind of repair if there’s an easier way to replace the whole lid and screen, but I cannot find any guides about it. Is pulling the screen out and swapping the only way?
@nitemair download the hardware maintenance manual for your IdeaPad from here Page 49 talks about the display module. Always make sure that you read and understand about what precedes the removal etc. You will find that if you follow that manual you will have success in replacing your screen. While you get ready to work on this, it would be great if you could create a guide. that way the next person that may need help with theirs, can find it here and knows what to do. Guides are fun and easy to create and are helpful to the community https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/new REPAIR IS WAR ON ENTROPY
