I have 2015 MacBook Retina 12” with some thin horizontal flickering lines on the screen. I do not see them when I connect my MacBook to external monitor. I can sometimes get rid of them when I push on the screen near right bezel when moving screen back and forth. Could it be just a flex cable connecting CPU board to the screen? I see it listed as a separate part here: Item code: IF301-015-1 MacBook 12" Retina (Early 2015-2017) Display Cable for $19.99 How easy is it to get just the cable replaced? I can see the connector for CPU board, but how is it connected to actual screen? Prices for the whole screen assembly are pretty steep :( Thank you!
No that replaceable cable never fails because there is no bending cycle. It’s most likely the integrated cable broken and that has to be replaced with the entire top half of the computer.
