Story was 1 year ago. I have my note 3 dropped into soap water, i went to a shop, they told me it irreparable. Thus, i changed a new phone, until this few days i noticed it is possible to repair it(how stupid i’m), but it’s 1 year back. is it possible is can repair it? any part that is expected to damage after left for 1 year unused?Sorry for my poor english. its soap water Update Can i clean everything with isopropyl alcohol? is there any part that cannot contact with isopropyl? thank you Update (02/06/2016) Do i need to submerge the screen into IPA? or just logic board and charging pot part?

Dylan, anything is possible. Right now you do not have anything to lose. If you do not have access to an ultrasonic cleaner, I suggest you get some 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush. Clean your board and all the other parts with it. Use this guide to see how to properly clean it. It was written for an iPhone but all the points a re still pertinent to yours as well. Remove all the EMI shields to clean under there as well. Once you have it cleaned, check all the components on the board. Make sure none are missing, or otherwise damaged. Make sure all the cable ends and connectors are also cleaned. Then reassemble, replace the battery and re-evaluate. The cost for now should only be for the alcohol and a new battery, so at least I’d give it a try. Water damage is the hardest to diagnose, and to repair, since any part may have failed. Yours situation is made worth by giving it time to corrode. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Battery Replacement

Judging from the image, it doesn’t seem like it is repairable. If it is, it will require someone who is an expert in cellphone board work. Repairing the device, if it is possible it will most likely exceed the value of device. Is only worth it to attempt a repair on the device only for data recovery purpose. First step is to clean the board with alcohol and a toothbrush.

Sorry about that Dylan. But i also have the same issue. My samsung galaxy note 3 fell in water and i couldnt wipe it but after like two hours i found rice and deeped it in after like four hours i tried to switch on but it couldnot start. I took it to someone who could repair it . Apparently it starts it can charge and the apps show but they dont work after some minutes it goes on and off. I have been told to buy a new motherboard. Do you think it can grately help. some advice please. sharon
