Can someone help me? I have a 7 year old iMac 27". I’ve used it regularly, but now it’s the second time it died on me. Last time it was the hard disk. That costed aroud 450 Euros. Now it’s either that again! Or it’s the logic board. Bloody he.. its annoying! Although it 7 years old I still think its ridiculous that it can’t be fixed as they don’t sell the original logic board in Europe any more? I think its rediculous that you need to throw a 2100 Euro machine away! Is it possible to find the original logic board or a copy product that can be used and changed?
$450 Euros for a hard drive replacement is outlandish. How about letting us give it a try at diagnostics first? This machine had a known issue with the GPU. Please give us your symptoms. Also do you know what type of hard drive they installed? Do you have a racing fan? Who did the repair?
