I find that I have to practically pound on the keyboard of my Acer Aspire R14 in order to get it to respond. This is especially true when using Shift key for caps. It is 3 months old and keyboard has always acted this way. I am using Windows 10 Home.
Gloria, Could be a defective key pad or driver issue, if key board has always acted this way you should have returned it. It could be a defective key pad, if only 3 months old. return the device now while still under warranty for repair/exchange/refund. Good luck.
