I ran out of gas (one time) and my car would not run after that. The fuel filter has been replaced, fuel pump replaced, spark plugs replaced, and gas tank removed and cleaned. It is still not running right and the check engine light is blinking. I filled the tank and put fuel injector cleaner in it. Is it the catalytic convertor.? If so can it be cleaned or must it be replaced? Could it be something else?
Ryan, Have a good technician scan/check your vehicle for trouble codes as a first step in trouble shooting the engines performance problem. A good technician can run test to see whether converter is bad rather then throwing expensive parts and labor at it. There are lots of things that could cause engine to run bad , vacuum leaks, plugged EGR,faulty injectors, faulty coil, etc., have it scanned.
