does the 7th gen ipod touch use the same screen-digitizer as 6th gen ipod touch
They might look the same and the same size but they are not the old regime what’s a 9.7 size screen in the newer gen has a 10.2 screen so they’re a little different little bigger than the old one they do that so if in your situation it breaks you can either buy a new one or a new screen for the same size so I would suggest to get a new 10.2 screen

I just used an OEM refurb 5/6th gen screen on one and it works perfectly. Not sure if aftermarket is the same.
