Chosen Solution

I purchased an “OEM” replacement digitizer+LCD display on ebay and received one manufactured by Chunghwa instead of HYDIS. The seller says that Chunghwa is the “other” OEM for this part but I don’t know whether that’s accurate. The display seems to work with my disassembled Nexus 7 but I haven’t tried to mount it in the original bezel yet. Should I expect any issues with the Chunghwa part?

According to these guys: http://lazure2.wordpress.com/2012/06/28/… " … Market sources indicate that Google will outsource production of the Nexus 7 to Asustek Computer, and purchase LCD panels for the model from Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT).The displays will have a resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels with CPT serving as the primary supplier, the sources indicated." So … apparently the screen is (or at least was) used in N7 manufacturing process.

The newer asus zenpad display is from Chunghwa. I just replaced mine. So chunghwa is the new oem suplier
