Im thinking to buy a a new battery for my iPhone to change it myself, and I started loooking after higher capacity batteries, but not the impossible double capacity ones without a brand, instead just a little more capacity ones with some nice brands. Is Baseus and Crazy s higher capacity batteries are genuine? Update (08/08/2018) In 1994, the cost to manufacture Li-ion in the 18650 cylindrical cell was over US$10 and the capacity was 1,100mAh. Cost reduction, increased specific energy and the absence of toxic material paved the road to make Li-ion the universally accepted battery for portable applications, heavy industries, electric powertrains and satellites. The 18650 measures 18mm in diameter and 65mm in length. The 18650 battery was progressing in capacity throughout the years, so how is that possible?
The limits of the chemistry won’t allow you to increase the power stored in the same volume (space). There are a lot of bogus batteries out there! The best you can get is 1715 mAh for your phone.
I have bought the Baesus higher capacity batteries for an iPhone 6s and iPhone 8. Used the iPhone 6s for around 4 months and stayed at 100% health and sold the phone. Still using iPhone 8 after 3 and remains at 100%. Batteries are high quality and do seem to have a higher capacity.
