Fixing a liquid-spill victim from an employee… the antenna cable connections were stuck to the airport card. Unfortunately, despite careful removal, the end connections came off from the cables. Can those be repaired? I’d REALLY like to not have to remove (and probably damage) the LCD just to have a working wifi/bluetooth signal. Any input is appreciated. Thanks J
If you have the skills and can locate replacement connectors (it’s a common form but where do you find them?) It should be possible. You may have to seed professional help to locate the parts do a splice and solder (it’s not like fixing lamp cords). At least you have saved the cost of the dis/reassembly of most of the machine. If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it.
Once the antenna cables break from the plugs, you have no choice but to replace the entire display assembly or use a USB wireless adapter.
You are 100% right. Once the cable breaks, you have no other choice but to replace the entire display or use a USB adapter to connect the MBA to a landrop.
