does the classic have built in speakers? also display only stays on few seconds. however plays songs thru ear buds
No, there are no built-in speakers. So you either need your headphones or a docking station to listen to your iPod. You can set the length for the backlight illumination in your setting menu. Go to setting > Backlight timer> there you can select up to 20seconds on or always on. Hope this helps, good luck
