My ipod touch has not been on for a while .I plug it up to my computer to charge now it want cut off like it should.I read up on holding the off/home button down for ten seconds ok it goes off but when i cut it off I get the itune /plug in cable on the screen i have tried to restore it but it want work i keep getting error message.
Ruthie, did you Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. When the logo appears is when it has reset. You may also try software like Recboot to see if you can get past that screen. Recboot can be used to either get your Touch into or kick it out of recovery mode.
