So I accidentally left my ipod nano 3G in my jacket and put it in the washer. When i took the ipod out I was devastated, but i knew that it was best to let it dry and then try and see if it worked. So i set it by the window and then near a lamp and after about 12 hours i connected it to my computer. It worked I took my music out and reset the ipod. It works fine, but the backlight isn’t working. I can see the screen but I cannot turn the backlight up. Is there any way of fixing it? Do I need to buy a part or should I just wait a while and see if it gets better on its own?
Belen, the washwater or the following corrosion probably damaged a pin or a component that manages the back light. I would start to disassemble it and take a look at the logic board. Electronics Water Damage
