My iPod 5G Video 60GB was soaked in a cup of water, I don’t know how long, between 1 hour to 2 hours. I dried it with a towel, shook the water out, and blow-dried it on low “cool”. Quickly blow-dried the seams, the usb connect & the headphone jack. While the shaking the screen light flickered on and off about 3 times. Does my iPod & Music Library stand a chance of being saved? Did I ruin it already? I don’t have my original iTunes anymore. I opened my iPod, cleaned with soft brush, and allowed to dry. Now when I put it on my dock the apple screen starts to show, then a few seconds later it clicks off. It continues to click on and off the entire time. When I plug it into a computer it shows the screen “Please wait…very low battery”. Do I have to replace something?

Once you’re at a step where you can see the logic board, you should use some strong isopropyl alcohol (90%+) and a soft brush to remove any white-ish residue you see. Let the device dry
