My I pod will not let you slide the bar to unlock. Turns on/off but cannot slide???
does everything work except the slide to unlock? i mean - that area where the “slide to unlock” shows up - does it work at all ? most likely the connection is the problem or the digitizer is faulty and needs to be replaced. since you didn’t wrote what ipod touch model you have, i can’t provide you the link to the guides for that model. first try to reset the ipod - press and hold the home and the sleep button until the ipod restarts - try if it works, if not - disassemble it -> select the model and the guide from the menu on the right, disassemble the ipod and reseat the digitizer connector - if that won’t work - the digitizer is faulty and needs to be replaced
whatever u read is ok but all u gotta do is hold the button in not the power button till u go to voice control them say face time and it will shoot you to face time then just go back till your at ur home page

Hi I have the same problem just restart your device and if that does not work plug it into the computer you get your music from thanks for reading and I hope it works if it doesn’t work just tell me I have a couple other things but that’s back up sorry that u have to do this but it should work sorry for the inconvenience of your device
got the same problem and i factory restored it with computer and the slide worked once got in and everything was working so i thought i fixed it then i decided to lock it well it went back to you cant do anything on the screen such as cant get camera, cant slide, cant even slide up the volume, nothing works but after you somehow get pass the screen it works perfectly. like WHAAAT. so it cant be the digitizer. i done some research and it said that under ios 7 doesnt work with slide so apparently you have to update ios to 7 or above! but how? you cant get in phone? dont wanna pay! it sucks, sorry i cant help ill let you know if i get in mine.
Yeah I have a really old one and it won’t work. My problem is that I can’t restart it because the off button doesn’t work. That’s why I had to get a new one because I used to just wait until the inactivity timer went and turned it off. Anyways, can anyone tell me how to set to factory settings with a computer??
