Hi, So after a few falls my screen has a few cracks. The “touch” part of the low part of the screen isn’t working (which means i can’t unlock the ipod by sliding the unlock button). If i understood correctly from what i’ve read, i need to change the digitizer as shown here iPod Touch 2nd Generation Front Panel Replacement My question is, would it work if i use this for example? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IPod-Touch-2nd… The ipod is not in great shape(i also spilled some beer on it the other day :P ) could the hardware inside the ipod be damaged? John, start by replacing the digitizer. If only a certain section is unresponsive, it is very likely that it is the digitizer that has failed. Yes, the part you listed will work. Remember the iPod is a bit of a PITA to work on. Follow the guides, and clean your iPod with isopropyl alcohol to remove the beer stains ;) Hope this helps, good luck.
