Solved Ipod Tells Me To Plug Into Itunes But It S Locked Ipod Touch

my ipod tells me to plug into itunes but when I do, a box pops up and tells me I can’t connect to itunes because it is locked by a passcode. I can’t enter my passcode until I connect to itunes.

Disconnect the iPod from the computer and unlock it before you plug it back in. It should let you unlock it whether it’s plugged into the computer or not, but try that anyway. If that does not work try a hard reset of the phone by holding the sleep and wake button till the phone shuts off and boots back up and reconnect.

hold the on off button and the circular button and then slide and plug into itunes

i have the same problem, you can not type your code in and then plug it in because it wont let you do any thing unless you plug it into itunes, (it shows the plug pointing to itunes).
