MODEL - A1051 IPOD MINI 4G My Ipod Mini is not powering up it shows 2 icons first it shows a black Apple seconds later it shows a folder with a exclamation point in a triangle then nothing. problem was happening before i installed a new battery, new battery charged and replaced, same problem.
Hey Matt, went to apple site as you said got a message that read open failed, couldn’t open or install this package type. this package requires MAC OS 10.5

checked out all your links but still didn’t for me.what should i do now?when the ipod is connected to a computer it doesn’t recognize it at all,even it doesn’t show on the MY COMPUTER folder.

I had the frozen screen, and folllowed the guide to change the battery, disconnected the battery, waited 5 secs, and reconnected. now works fine.
I get the explanation point and a message saying to go to apple website.
