Chosen Solution

I want to rebuild my iPod Hi-Fi from a FireWire iPod connector to a USB iPhone connector. Has anyone ever done that or have any tips regarding FW to USB connector? Update (06/19/2014) All, thanks for your replies, much appreciated. At the moment I have a Sosche usb-to-firewire adapter on the iPod HiFi, and on top of that I have the Auris skye wifi adapter, making it possible to stream AirPlay music straight to the iPod HiFi. The solution is very elegant, the looks not so much… I am pondering buying a second set of the Sosche and Auris skye, strip them of plastic and combine them into a smaller package (3D printed new housing perhaps) but that project is for a really rainy day, though

Finno Furre, the only thing that I can think off are the commercially available adapters or if you look at the pinouts for the iphone dock connector and compare it to the current Firewire connection and the USB connection pinout you might rewire it by replacing those. I suppose it would only work for charging since the data protocol is different. Good Luck to you

Hi, i bought an adapter from Scosche. Its call passport home. But if some find a way to patch the cables on teh boom box itself, that would be nice.

I have an iPod HiFi with a missing dock (it was that way when I bought it). All that is left is the cable that connects to the dock. If I had a pinout, I could probably pass audio into the dock connector. Any ideas?
