Chosen Solution
Like I said in the description, my iPod classic only works when it is docked to my Sony ICFCS15IP Alarm clock dock. But as soon as it is removed from the dock, the iPod cuts off and it is completely unresponsive. When try to plug it into my computer using the 30 pin connecter cable, the screen flashes the Apple logo on and off. Is this a battery issue, logic board issue, or something else?
Jeremy, yes could be a logic board issue, but you never know until you start somewhere. I would start with a new battery:-) it sure sounds like the one you have is giving you trouble:-) Use these guides to work on your iPod and the battery is available at places like this.
