Chosen Solution
One of my clients brought an iPhone XR to me with a cracked display with color distortion. After replacing the display with an iFixit one, he reported to me that the color distortion is not as bad as it was before, and he noticed that it seems to do it more with heat. He is on the latest iOS version. I’ve tried to research this a lot, but have found nothing. Has anybody else seen this before?
Some screen protectors and cases can cause this on the XR’s as they use LCD screens and they don’t like pressure which causes colour distortion.
I’d be asking what heat he’s using and why? Or if he means heat from the phone then it’s a board problem as it shouldn’t get that hot that it affects the display.
