Chosen Solution

Hi everyone, I went to the beach this past week and unfortunately dropped my iPhone X into the hot tub. It was only a few inches in and i immediately got it out. After wards i dried it off and it seemed to be working fine. That night, it went dead and hasn’t turned on past the apple logo. The logo appears and then will go away, and repeat. I have tried plugging it up to my Mac and it doesn’t even show up under devices. I also plugged my sisters phone in and it showed up so it has something to do with the problem. Does anyone know what that problem might be? I guess I am just looking for any answers or solutions I could find. Thanks in advance!

There can be a number of reasons a water damaged phone will not boot. It could be a parts problem like dock connector assembly, battery, front flex assembly and the list goes on. You could start by disconnecting the front flex assembly that comes from the top of the screen and see if it boots followed by another battery and then dock assembly and screen. If it still will not boot it is more than likely water has got into the logic board and would need a reputable repairer to at least retrieve your data.
