I recently purchased an iPhone X from a friend , with broken screen and rear glass , I could not test the cameras because the screen was totally damaged but I manage by randomly touching the broken screen to turn the flash ON , I started repairing from the rear glass, removed every piece of glass carefully with a spot heater and a razor, the glass near the camera was a bit hard to remove so I used some force , the new glass was fitted perfectly then I continued with the screen replaced it carefully and it was a success, but when I unlocked the phone face ID both cameras (rear and front) were not working neither the flash that I was sure that it was working before the repair. When I asked my friend he said that everything was working great before! I checked the motherboard with a microscope and I did not see any damage on it. I have some things in mind that could have caused this disaster : Maybe the force that I used to the rear housing caused some internal damage to the rear camera and that causes failure the other components ?I tested the new screen with the front facing cameras disconnected because they were on the old screen and maybe the front cameras were not synchronized and causing camera issues ? (just saying)Did I cause any motherboard issue that it can not be seen ? I tried hard reseting it , DFU mode with fresh OS installation, I disconnected all of the cameras and reinstalled them 100 times Can anyone help me with this because I really run out of ideas and options ! Thanks in advance !!!

If you didn’t remove the cameras and logic board before you put heat on the glass I would try the logic board in another known good housing with cameras. That way you can determine if you have a parts problem or board problem. You will need to rule out parts first.
