I agree with Tom. It is, technically possible, to upgrade the memory on an iPhone X. Whether or not it is cost effective really depends on where you are in the world. The actual memory chip is quite expensive and it requires that you have access to a special programmer, such as this one. Additionally, there is quite a bit of skill required (and lots of specialized tools) to do this upgrade successfully. If it goes sideways, you will kill the logic board. Replacing the logic board is easier but certainly not inexpensive either. So if you are in Asia, then you can probably have this done affordably. If you are in the US, then the cost will be significant.
It is possible after you reprogram several serial numbers on the flash memory chip.
