Hi, so i got my iPhone X ear speaker not working after the phone felt in water. At first it worked even though you heard it low and after some days no sound at all! So i bought a new one and replaced the old one (kept the original flex cable with all the sensors because i didnt´t want to loose Face ID). At first i thought that maybe the solder was not made properly so i check it again and was just fine. All the sensors are working aswell as the Face ID but still get no sound. Propably not an audio IC issue because the speakers and the microphone works just fine. Does someone went through this issue? I searched all the web but got no answer for this problem. Any ideas please?

Liquid damage can be a tricky repair and it’s usually not practical most of the time. I would try another ear speaker assembly without transferring faceID components just to see if the speaker will work.

Got the problem solved! A bad soldering work was the issue! So i cleaned all the solder a resolder it again and now its working fine aswell as all the other sensors including the Face ID! I’ll leave some photos of the flex cable after the cleaning! God knows how i’m happy to have my phone fully working again :D
