Hi iFixit community, i got a challenging one for you all ;-)! An iPhone X from a client keeps rebooting once in a while and after the reboot the battery % in the upper right corner is gone, the battery capacity indicator in settings will show — (unavailable ). In past cases this seems like a defective battery but the weird part is that in this case it also still boots up and charges regularly but only goes into this ‘‘defective’’ mode in some instances. The old Battery capacity was at 82% with 1400 cycles. I Installed a new battery and now it shows a 100% capacity but the weird rebooting still keeps on happening where the phone will boot up but not being able to charge. I also tried: DFU resetReading it with a tristar tester ( showed no fail ) My knowledge of board repair is quite low. Any feedback is very welcome!

You should try another charge port if that doesn’t solve it I would start checking the logic board. ·         Battery connector ·         Mosfets near the battery connector ·         Charging Coils ·         Hydra ·         Tigris
