So, for several months, I was having touchscreen issues with my iPhone 6. I was going to tough it out because my contract/lease was almost up. Until my phone died suddenly. Here’s what happened: -irresponsive touch screen for several months. -one day battery dropped to 6% and died, so I plugged it in. -phone turned on for two minutes while plugged in, then shut off. -tried a combination of pushing the lock and home screen button, no avail. -went to sprint store, rep says he believes the LCD backlight went out, needs screen replacement. Offers to do it for 150. I decline, I might get it done cheaper somewhere else.

  • I check the water damage indicators, none are active. -tried plugging it into iTunes, did not work. Any ideas? I really need to turn it back in to sprint in working order for my lease, so any amount of help would be appreciated.

Honestly I think Sprint support is wrong. If the phone stops working properly during contract under a hardware issue then it should be covered under warranty, in fact the phone should still be under warranty and you should get it replaced. Seems like they are trying to give you the runaround or charging you extra when it could just be a bad screen. Sounds like a bad screen to me. Or least likely the battery.
