Chosen Solution
After replacing screen assembly for proximity sensor not turning screen off during call the phone now does not turn screen back on after call is completed. If I press the home button the screen turns back on. Have reset phone, did not help. !! I placed a small piece of masking tape over the sensor and it;s working. This means the sensor is allowing to much light through. Now, why is the new screen/sensor doing this??
Depending on the screen colour there might have been a small white sticker on the bottom of the proximity sensor mould, it might have come off when you replaced it. Check the old one and see if it is stuck to it.
