Iphone screen black, after battery replacement. Recognized by itunes However in itunes it tells me “there is a problem with the iphone that requires it to be updated or restored. Using a flashlight there is no images. I disconnected the battery first, then the display connectors. I was very careful and made sure the screws went back into the same hole. All the connections are secure and have been double checked…. ..help? Update (11/30/2017) Is it possible to just replace the cables? Or do I have buy a new screen. So the motherboard is fine? I can hear it connecting and disconnecting from itunes when I plug it in/out. and now it says “cannot connect as it requires a passcode”
I guess the question is…what happened to your phone in the days/weeks leading up to this issue? Was it dropped, damaged, repaired or came into contact with water? Are you suing cheap, non-original charging cables or bricks…or worse still, car chargers? It sounds like you have a backlight and LCD issue so it could just be the screen which is defective. However, the message you get could be indicative of other issues. I would start with trying a known-good screen. You can find one here and the repair guide here.
Guy at the phone store said it was a motherboard (logic board)? he tried connecting a new screen but it didnt work.
