PLEASE HELP. I just changed my LCD screen on my iPhone 5s, but i kept the same original home button. I don’t know if i did something wrong replacing the main button, but the recovery mode is not working. Everything works normally (i’ve replaced the lcd screen 3 times now in 3 years.) but THIS TIME, i need to reboot in RECOVERY MODE (Connect to ITUNES. While holding the Home button, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button, after 10 sec, release the sleep/wake button and still holding HOme button until the recovery mode starts). The recovery mode with itunes never starts… After talking with apple support, and trying recovery mode process more than 10 times, they told me that probably something is not connected properly as the HOME button is not sending the recovery mode action. Does someone know this part of the home button is in charge of this? does the spring contact have to do anything with this?
Ok, so basically you need to put the phone info dfu, which you cannot do, because some function of the home button isn’t responding. It could be you’ve damaged the home button, or could be you’ve damaged the Lightning dock, which the home button connects to iPhone 5s Home Button Replacement iPhone 5s Lightning Connector Replacement iPhone 5s Lightning Connector and Headphone Jack iPhone 5s Home Button Assembly
