Last week, my iPhone 6s suddenly began to heat up very quickly just below the rear camera. After ~1min it overheats and can’t be used anymore. The Apple technicians were clueless after opening and diagnosing it. Since I don’t have Apple care, I was left to my own devices and followed the only idea the Apple technician had and replaced the rear camera, as the heat seems to come from the camera. This didn’t help either, the issue is still there. Does somebody else experience this? Any ideas what the source of the problem could be, and what I could try?
Your problem is within the Wi-Fi IC it has developed a partial of full short. This is a common fault on the 6s series. It will be an expensive repair as a new Wi-Fi chip will have to be installed than the old ones Address will have to be unbinded from the NAND. Might be time for an upgrade.
