Hey My friend asked me for repair his broken iphone 5 and it was realy messed up: he tryed to open the display but he cutted the sensor/front cam cable. We changed the display but not the sensor/front cam cable because we still need to order it, we choosed to ignore it and replace only the display so he can use it while we wait for the cable but when we powered the phone we got “iphone disabled” so now i would like to know if we have to fix the sensor/cam cable or there is something else causing the problem Thank you! Sorry for my bad english!
Hello What is likely to be the problem is the defective screen that was on it before. I occasionally get devices that have essentially disabled themselves from a broken screen. What happens is the touch screen (digitizer) breaks and then randomly activates around the screen. This then selects the wrong passcode a number of times and so the phone disables. You need to plug it into iTunes in order to re activate it. The Front camera and proximity flex will not have any impact on the device other than the functions associated with it not working Hope this helps Regards John
