I just replaced my iPhone 7 Plus’s display assembly. The display assembly included everything, except for the Touch ID / home button. While booting / turning on the phone, it started heating up, then when I got to the lock screen, its very hot, as if I was playing a game. The heat is right below the camera, as marked in the photo below. Is this normal?

Phones can sometimes heat up when they first boot up which is pretty normal. But if it remains hot after a while or doesn’t show signs of cooling down you might have a short on your hands. You made sure to disconnect the battery while doing the repair right?
