Recently I started a iPhone business and I started fixing a dodgy iPhone 6 Plus in which it’s touch didn’t work. So I opened up the phone and put the connectors back in place. It worked but I could still see the phone show white lines at the top every now and then when I put pressure on the back. Recently I opened up the phone again and now it showed just lines on the screen and no display. I opened it again and now this time the screen is black but I can still hear vibrations/noises. I keep opening it up but nothing happens. So should I replace the screen or get someone to replace the digitiser? Thank You
You buy the screen in one piece lcd and digitizer. I would first check the connections and make sure it’s not damaged and the pins aren’t bent. Then clean the connector with a qtip and alcohol and a soft brush. Try that. Where are you buying your screens from? You should find a supplier that carries a quality product with a lifetime warranty.
Sounds like the commonly dreaded touch IC disease. It has nothing to do with the screen, but an integrated circuit chip on the board that get’s knocked loose from being bent. https://www.ifixit.com/News/8309/iphone-… This is one you want to have a specialist deal with, otherwise you’ll damage the phone.
