I have an iPhone 8 that ran out of battery and then completeley stopped turning on and got stuck in a bootloop. I was able to get the phone into DFU Mode and reset it in iTunes but that didn’t solve the issue. The phone has never been opened up and hasn’t gotten wet. My guess is that the battery is faulty/ too old, but that would be odd because the phone does charge and holds a charge because it can be in the bootloop for hours. That’s my only guess. I haven’t opened up the phone yet. Any idea of what could be causing the issue? Thanks!
Thanks! I managed to fix this phone by troubleshooting it with parts of another iphone 8. It turned out to be the front camera assembly flex, what a weird thing. I swapped this part for a new one and now the phone is working perfectly.
What you are describing are the symptoms of a faulty battery. Replace the battery and it should be fine.
