I have a very broken display. Only lines show up. I have now tried three different replacement displays and they are fully black. Nothing works. No hard reset nothing. When I put the original display back on and do a hard reset it still shows the lines and lights come on. I haven’t transferred true tone data, that is the only difference. I don’t have a prommer for that.
Sounds like this is a connector problem. The connector is most likely stretched. This happens after too many attempts to connect screens or the main reason which is connecting a 7 series screen which defiantly stretches the connector. Get a decent pair of tweezers and carefully make the connector a bit narrower. The connector on the logic board I am talking about.
