Hello everyone I have a iPhone 8 that has a strange issue. No power at all. I connected it to itunes and it does not detect it at all. Left it charging over night and nothing. Never dropped in water. I did noticed something strange. I also tried cleaning the charging port and tried different power cables. When i connected it to the charger and then i remove it and connect my currently working iPhone it wont charge my current iPhone i have to remove the charger from the wall and then it starts charging my working iPhone. Very strange. Any ideas?
Not so strange, that points to a shorted charging circuit that ends up shorting charger and triggering protection mode. There’s a possibility battery might be involved..try plugging in charger without it and see if the iPhone starts bootlooping or stays dead. In case you get no change in picture a logic board repair will be needed, otherwise try replacing battery first.
