Dropped my iphone 8 today, the screen went blank. I tried a hard reset (volume up volume down and then pressed the on/off button) the apple logo did not appear the the screen is unresponsive. Tried plugging into my MacBook and connected to iTunes. The iTunes recognised it had a problem then said restore or update…I went for update… then waited and waited…nothing happened. I disconnected the phone and tried again to connect to iTunes but now the phone is not seen by iTunes at all. I have tested if it will receive calls and it does, but I cannot answer the calls. Lastly the screen does not respond to any touch. Anybody’s thought please…online help elsewhere is like a bad rabbit hole of articles which haven’t shone any light on the issue. Your screen went black perhaps because the LCD cable has become dislodged from the logic board. In this situation, you need to change it.
